Partner Visas to Australia

Prospective Marriage Visa

This is a temporary visa valid for nine (9) months that allows couples to marry in Australia.

WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS YOU TO DO:
​

  • full work and study rights in Australia

  • access to Australia’s publicly funded universal healthcare system (Medicare).

 
VISA REQUIREMENTS:
​

  • visa applicants need to be at least 18 years of age

  • must meet health requirements

  • must meet character requirements

 
VISA CONDITIONS:
​

  • need to be married to the sponsor within nine (9) months from the time of arrival in Australia

  • after marriage, one must apply for a Partner visa.

Partner Visa

This is a two-stage, two (2) year visa (temporary stage and permanent stage) for married couples and/or couples in a relationship with an Australian Permanent resident or an Australian citizen over 12 months or longer to join their partners to live in Australia.

WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS YOU TO DO:
​

  • full work and study rights in Australia

  • access to Australia’s publicly funded universal healthcare system (Medicare)

  • multiple travel facilities to and from Australia.

 
VISA REQUIREMENTS:
​

  • must be at least 18 years of age

  • must meet health requirements

  • must meet character requirements.

 
VISA CONDITIONS:
​

  • must continue to be in a genuine relationship with the sponsor until the grant of a permanent visa (unless special circumstances apply).
